I began my teaching career in 2010 as a primary school teacher, working across EYFS and Years 3, 4, 5 & 6. During that time, I discovered just how powerful outdoor learning can be. I saw children grow in confidence, curiosity and resilience when they were given the freedom to learn in nature, and it completely changed the way I wanted to teach.

That passion led me to train as a Forest School Leader and deepen my understanding of child-led, nature-based learning.

In 2025, I completed a Master's degree in Early Childhood and Forest School at the University of Huddersfield, further strengthening my knowledge and practice.

I founded Play Out Forest School in 2023, initially offering holiday clubs, family sessions and school workshops. Since then, we've expanded to provide INSET training, consultancy, Forest School site support and team teaching, helping schools create meaningful outdoor learning experiences that have a lasting impact.

I'm excited to continue growing Play Out Forest School and supporting more schools, educators and families to connect with nature through inspiring outdoor learning.
